Well that was a friggin' amazing concert!
Just Sam and Rob Burgher, some of the songs were the best versions I've ever heard. The two support bands were also awesome..as was the whole venue! All over just a brilliant night! |

The reviews I've seen have not been good for The American. Care to elaborate, DLC? I was thinking of going to see it. I was initially worried that it would just be some action-packed Bourne clone, but the action scenes are few and far between. I enjoy vistas and there were several of the Italian countryside variety. A lot of the shots seem to be more about routine/character development rather than narrative. My biggest gripe is a poorly done butterfly metaphor. Otherwise, it had a solid mood and execution (pun?).I don't think I'll ever pay to see a movie called Machete or The Last Exorcism or The Unsubtle Summer Buck. The Fucking Obvious Killer Summer Buckz in 3D however, that is how you spend a night in America. Goodnight to you. Good thing you didn't mention 5nal Destination. The one that had the balls to take the series past THE Final Destination (which was in 3D)! I really, really hope this is pronounced "five-nal..." |

That's very cool. I think you captured the mood and the progression of verses very well.

Hi. this is the first time I've posted. just thought some of you might like this.
Sam Beams music has always reminded me of home. I grew up in a solar powered cabin in the woods of Maine. We had no toilet, TV or Hot water. It was just real rustic and cozy. his music has the same timeless quality I felt there. Anyway I went home to Lobster Fish with my dad for a few weeks and there was something so peaceful about coming home to the woods from the sea. Let me know what you think! good or bad. I'm just getting into filmmaking and I really want to keep getting better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYgc4bHqxJ4 |
